My Story
Hey there! My name's Lexie. I recently moved from a small farm town in upstate New York to New York City where I live with my partner, dog Layla, and cat Swiper. In my free time, you can find me hidden within the pages of a book or scouring the city looking for amazing indie bookstores and vintage shops.
I'm an avid romance reader who's been hooked since my teenage years. Remember that epic era of 2010s YA fantasy? Yeah, those were the days! Now, you'll find me devouring LGBTQIA+, fantasy, and monster romances, and basically anything else that sparks my interest. Reading has always been a big part of my life, so it was only natural for me to turn it into my career.
My journey began in education, where I witnessed firsthand the incredible impact books have on children. While I loved teaching, my heart was set on working directly with authors. So, I took a leap of faith and dove headfirst into the thrilling world of publishing. Along the way, I've built an awesome community on social media and made some fantastic friends.
I've studied marketing and stay up-to-date with all the latest trends across various social media platforms. From reviewing advanced reader copies (ARCs) to diving deep into the contemporary romance scene, I've honed my editing skills through classes and even interned with a seasoned editor to gain hands-on experience. Connecting with fellow authors, editors, and readers has given me valuable insights into the current market and what readers are craving.
